Green Zinger Smoothie

This warming, creamy smoothie feels like a treat rather than 'I must eat more greens'. It's a great way to get more of your five (lets make it 10?!) a day without even noticing. It's packed full of beneficial nutrients being particularly high in potassium, which has been linked to reducing blood pressure, as well as heart healthy fats which can reduce inflammation.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 an avocado

  • 1/2 a honeydew melon

  • Handful of mint

  • 1/2 apple

  • 2 celery sticks

  • 1/2 cup of blanched frozen or 1 cup of raw spinach

  • At least 1/2 inch of root ginger

  • 1/4 to 1/2 lime or lemon

  • 1/2 cup cucumber

  • Half a cup of water/almond milk - or more if you don't like it thick

Put all the ingredients into blender/nutri-bullet and blend for 5-10 seconds.

Will make enough for two large glasses.
